This past summer, two african dwarf frogs embarked on the journey of a lifetime. They were adopted from their native Cape Cod gift shop and were soon welcomed into the warmth of my home. Leonard & Sheldon (bonus points if you know where their names come from) adapted quickly and became fun, energetic additions to the family.
On December 1st, however, Sheldon was taken from us. This saddened me, but what many of you don’t know is that Sheldon is the Heath Ledger of the frog world. Both completed their finest dramatic performance right before their passing. For that short film I alluded to in my previous post , I shot a ton of footage with the frogs. When my work is complete, you will all finally understand the tormented genius of this young actor. So keep burbling in that big pond in the sky, Sheldon… your frog oscar is on its way.
